40th Anniversary "Royal Blue" Max II
Recreatives Industries Incorporated began operations in July 1969. The company, the people, the tooling, and the building were all specifically organized and developed for the sole purpose of producing a new and exciting product: a six-wheel drive, amphibious, skid-steer all-terrain vehicle.
After studying the few primordial competitive attempts at 6-wheel ATV design, we knew we could do it better. Our early engineering team started from a fresh sheet of paper on the drawing board and was given a substantial budget. What resulted was a rugged, reliable, amphibious vehicle that had true 6-wheel drive, was easy to steer, and a blast to drive.
That vehicle was the first MAX II model. More than 1500 were sold our first year of production, an incredible achievement at that time in what was a relatively new market.
The modern MAX II models still retain the basic layout of the original highly successful design, but the vehicle has evolved and improved over the last 40 years as new things were learned and better materials became economically available.
In celebration of our 40th anniversary of the start of MAX ATV production, we have made available a Limited-Edition MAX II in Royal Blue body color. As you can see from the photos, the MAX II looks great in blue with the black wheels and black roll bar. Any MAX II model can be ordered in Blue, and will have a 40th Anniversary badge attached to the body. There is no additional charge for these blue Limited Edition MAX II models.
